While helping my mom sort out records I found a Rainbow Brite one... I am totally gonna steal it from her when I move cuz I'm hardcore like that. (I know... Rainbow Brite.... But I loved her as a kid... *sings the theme*)

And that just proves how old I am getting... So many people these days go "Huh?" when you say record/vinyl and I distinctly remember my first response to a CD player when I was 6 "How does a record fit in that?" *weeps* I am getting oooold!

And! I thought this one up today while reflecting upon a conversation involving mike, sel and I.

We were talking about how we're old and Sel was like "Sure make me feel older than I already am." and mike was like "That's in Gay years though" So:

In the garden of life your fruits expire long before your vegetables.

and for me:

Life is a garden, you have your fruits, your vegetables and I guess I'm what you'd call a tomato. <3

Muchos love ya'll

If you and I were alone in my room right now, what would we be doing?

My Utmost apologies for the second post (not really.).

This song has really got me thinking upon myself and upon life.

All my life I've wanted to prove myself, to show others that I am not what they think I am. I guess you could say that I let other people's opinions tread my path. I've taken what they have said personally, even though I just laugh and shrug it off when they are around; even if it is in jest. I don't like me for who I am, and I never have. I never liked the things I did, I was never proud of my accomplishments. People around me claim that I have talent in areas that I feel I don't. My poems, stories, songs, all crap; it can never be good enough for myself anymore. I guess after years of being told something it tends to stick with you. "This isn't good enough." "I'm sorry but this won't do." "I'd like for you to rewrite it." And all the while I pushed for it to be better, then eventually the teachers liked what I presented and I despised it. Websites are another example, more often than not before I put a website online I have gone through about 5 unfinished layouts for it on my harddrive that I didn't like. I guess that's how life goes though.

I also thought that leaving this town would be great for me, I still feel that way. This town is a decaying sess pool, there is nothing here for me. I stick out like [as quoted by myself earlier today at work] a queen in a hick bar. But why should a town have so much power over a person? Why can't I be happy here instead of somewhere else? Why can't life work itself out?

Blargh, this is me being pissy and lonely, mostly lonely... more likely than not completely because of me being lonely. *Smiles at certain thoughts* God, Crushes Suck.

Is the answer to life found in companionship? It is seldom that you find a person that is far happier alone than in a relationship which leads me to curiousity. Love [or something similar] can lead a person into true happiness, and can pull them into a pit of depression with the flick of the wrist. Why do we experience love? Are we the only species of animalia that feel it? What exactly are crushes? Why do we crush on people?

These musings are obviously inspired by recent events. I had gone to a party, expecting to only know the person who invited me, strangely enough I knew everyone who was there. One person in particular I had sorta been friends with in the past; while I went to Bert Bowes. We made a movie together for Video Production class. Anyways, I had known before hand that there were very few heterosexual people in that group of friends (I fit right in. ;)) but finding this out about one person in particular sparked a little bit of interest. Anyhow we were watching Anime and I was just sitting there, and people were changing seats often as we were getting up to get drinks and whatnot but others who were stuck on the floor would thief a seat as it opened. And I felt strangely more comfortable with this one person. And, even though it wasn't meant to mean anything [I think] when he put his arm around my shoulder I felt so comfortable and wanted to stay there. The musings of those around were interesting as well. "Aww you two look like such a cute couple." Anyways, after the party everyone but myself and one other person went home. She and I stayed up the entire night talking, and she asked me if I had any crushes. At the time I didn't think I had, so I said no but I told her that I thought that one person was cute. The next day however I had time to think, and thinking about that person made me feel warm and smile, it's pathetic how I let my emotions get the best of me. So to make a long story short, I now have this huge crush on this guy but I am afraid to ask him out or anything like that, so yeah... I suck. ;.;

On a sidenote, "Those Who Hunt Elves" AWESOME Anime! I loved it and need to get my hands on the DVDs <3

1) Take your LJ username and replace each letter with the corresponding number (A=1, B=2, etc...). If your name contains numbers, you'll need to convert them to letters first before you can convert to numbers.
2) Add all of the numbers together to create a kind of super number.
3) Make a note of the first digit of this number, then add the digits of the number together.
4) Find the post of this number in your LJ. If you don't have that many posts, add the digits together again. Keep doing so until the number is smaller than your pathetic number of posts.
5) Take the digit you noted in step 3, and count that many words into the post.
6) Use the resulting word in a Google Image Search, and select a picture from the first page.
7) Post the results for us all to see.

She saved a country, and for that she burned. It's funny to think that Human Nature has hardly changed through the ages. Take a hero and turn them into a heretic. For all of you out there; I'm ready for the fire.
